How to use your Turtle Beach Ear Force X1 on the Playstation 3!

This is for those who have the TB X1 already and want to avoid buying the PS3 versions since the X1's aren't compatible stock. This method also works for the Astro Gaming Headsets. I also encourage you to conduct your own research and read reviews.

What you need:

Headset
- Turtle Beach Ear Force X1

USB Audio Adapters
Note: These are adapters only. When using the X1 you will not have the convenient volume control and mute functions with the exception of the Amigo(see below) and Astro Mix Amp.
Names are click-able links.

- HE-280B - $7.50
This was confirmed working via Socom forums (Click Here) 2nd Post. Straight forward install
it's an adapter only.

- External 5.1 USB 3D Audio Sound Card Adapter - $1.95
Found this on amazon, very cheap, looks Identical to the HE-280B

- USB 2.0 External 5.1 Channel 3D Sound Card Adapter - $3.61
Also found this on amazon same as HE-280B

- Audio Advantage Amigo - $39.95
This device is usually included with the PX1 Turtle Beaches. Unlike the others listed above,
the Amigo has some nifty features such as: built-in microphone and Convenient volume
control and mute. *NOT NEEDED FOR ASTRO MIXAMP*

- Astro PS3 Adaptor - $9.99
The official adapter for Astro Mix Amp. It does not seem to have any added features since the
MixAmp retains vocal volume control and game/voice mix. Seems to be no different than the
HE-280B and variants.

How to install
It's easy. Just follow the PX1 instructions, same principle. - LINK
